Valeri Valeriano and Christina Ong left the Philippines in 2008 to work in the UK in the medical field. After learning how to make cupcake bouquets in 2011 they launched their business Queen of Hearts Couture Cakes and have since won numerous top international awards for their amazing buttercream designs. Love the pastels and shabby chic

Just borrowed my sister's copy and it's my favourite of the Queen of Hearts girls three books to date. I love their diversion into pastels and shabby chic style designs, even though they still have some of their brightly colored designs in this book also. In a world obsessed with fondant and mold and cutters, it's refreshing to see what can be achieved with a simple piping bag and a handful of piping tips. My kind of cake decorating. Especially love the antique style bas relief cake in cream and ivory.
